Grilled Grapefruit Buck Cocktail
12 oz Vodka
16 oz Grapefruit Juice from grilled grapefruit (about 4 grapefruits)
1.5 OZ freshly squeezed Lemon Juice (1 lemon)
3 oz smoked Simple Syrup
12 oz ginger beer
2 grapefruits sliced into 1/2-inch rounds, for garnish
8 sprigs mint
1/2 cup turbinado sugar
When ready to cook, start the Z Grill according to grill instructions. Set the temperature to 450 degrees F (500 degrees F if using a WiFIRE-enabled grill) and preheat, lid closed, for 10 to 15 minutes.
Coat sliced grapefruit on both sides with turbinado sugar and place on preheated grill. Grill for 3 minutes per side or until you get some grill marks.
Add vodka, grapefruit juice, lemon juice, Z Grill Smoked Simple Syrup and 1 sprig of mint leaves to a pitcher and stir vigorously with a cocktail spoon.
Add a handful of ice and stir vigorously for 30 seconds.
Pour into to 6 rocks glasses filled with ice and top with ginger beer.
Garnish with a grilled grapefruit slice and a mint sprig. Enjoy!
