grilled romaine salad with bleu-bacon dressing


  • 1 romaine lettuce heart

  • 1 Teaspoon olive oil

  • To Taste salt

  • To Taste pepper

  • 2 Teaspoon Parmesan cheese, grated

  • 2 Teaspoon Bleu Cheese

  • 2 Teaspoon mayonnaise

  • 1/4 Cup milk

  • To Taste salt

  • To Taste pepper

  • To Taste garlic powder

  • 6 Slices cooked bacon, crumbled




When ready to cook, set temperature to High and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes.


Cut romaine in half, then either brush or drizzle olive oil over both faces of the romaine. Season lettuce with salt, pepper, and parmesan cheese.


Place romaine lettuce on the grill grate, face down. Grill for 2-4 minutes, just long enough to get grill marks. Remove from grill.


Prepare the dressing by mixing bleu cheese, mayonnaise, and milk in a small bowl. Season to taste with a little salt, pepper and garlic powder. Add bacon.


Assemble your salad, adding more blue cheese as desired. Enjoy!
