As Needed whole cloves
1/2 Cup pure maple syrup
1/2 Cup brown sugar
1/2 Cup apple juice
1 Tablespoon brown mustard
Dash ground cinnamon
Dash ground ginger
PREPARATION
Steps
1
When ready to cook, set Z Grill temperature to 325℉ and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes.
2
Score the ham all over in a diamond pattern, cutting to a depth of about 3/4 inch. Insert a clove into each intersection or "X" of the diamond pattern.
3
In a saucepan, stir together the maple syrup, brown sugar, apple juice, brown mustard, cinnamon and ginger and simmer over medium heat until brown sugar has melted. Set aside and keep warm.
4
Place ham in large roasting pan lined with aluminum foil. Place pan on grill and cook for 1-1/2 hours.
5
Open grill and glaze ham with reserved mixture. Continue cooking for another 30 minutes or until a thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the meat reaches an internal temperatures of 135℉.
6
Remove ham from grill and allow to rest covered with foil for 20 minutes before serving. Warm remaining sauce and serve with ham if desired. Enjoy!
